Our music classes for children are never just about the music. But they’re always ALL about the children.

We combine music and sensory play and we always, ALWAYS let the children lead the way.

Expect puppets and bubbles. Ribbons and rhymes. Drumbeats and lullabies. Stories and singalongs. Anything that helps children explore sounds and senses and music-making through natural play.

Hear Others Sing Our Praises

My little one lights up as soon as she hears Julie’s voice.
Bubs and I love the online class subscription. It’s especially perfect for those moments when my brain has run out of ideas and my girl wants to play.
Julie is a gorgeous soul who facilitates connection between me and bubs without even being in the room. <3

Wonderful, wonderful classes, Julie is such a treasure!

Trying to limit “screen time” we are particularly fussy with what we allow Miss Heidi to watch, Julie is always our first choice - her on-line-classes are perfect 🙏

Kids Music Making

Classes in Mornington, Melbourne

Whether we’re outdoors, running an early learning centre incursion, or at your local kinder we create music making havens in southeast Melbourne and beyond.

We create a space where kids can be kids.

Where the quiet ones can observe and absorb while the boisterous ones can fill their lungs with air and sing along while somersaulting if that’s their thing.

We meet your child where they feel comfortable, wholeheartedly accepting whatever level of participation they feel ready for.

We create a welcoming atmosphere where your child and YOU are free to just be

Where you can enjoy an oxytocin boost and get some practical know-how, warmth, and support in raising your fan-friggin’-tastic little one.

Whether you’re joining us for a baby, mixed age, kindergarten, or big kid’s session our 35-minute interactive classes look a little something like this:

  1. We start with hello songs and percussive play.

  2. We move into immersive music-making using props and sensory play.

  3. Then we do stand-up musical activities to build those gross motor skills.

  4. And we finish off with storytelling, lullabies, and breathing exercises so both you and your little music maker can leave feeling blissed out. We don’t want anyone leaving razzed up!

Feedback from our kids music classes

These classes have been a godsend for both of my completely different children. My first was quiet and reserved and it gave him the space to engage when he felt right, and my second is boisterous and can run, jump, dance around without a care while participating in his own way. Julie is an incredible wealth of knowledge of both music and early childhood development and these classes are a no-brainer for anyone wanting something meaningful yet super fun for their kids (and themselves!)

Both my girls have had the pleasure of being introduced to music with Julie. Her personality and approach are truly one of a kind, building confident, joyful lovers of music who are learning about rhythm, pitch, tempo, and melody without even knowing it. I highly recommend Sounds LIke this - it’s great for the brain and imagination and even better for the soul.
